The Ministry of Innovation and Growth has opened for application procedure through the selection of project proposals procedure BG16RFPR001-1.003 Development of innovations in enterprises", programme "Competitiveness and innovations in enterprises" 2021-2027.

Procedure objective: providing focused support to Bulgarian enterprises to increase their innovation activity by developing innovations in the thematic areas of the Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization 2021-2027 (IS3).

Total budget for the procedure: 127 000 000 BGN

Intensity of funding: from 25% up to 60%, depending on the enterprise category

Minimum amount of the applied grant under the project: 50 000 BGN

Maximum amount of the applied grant under the project, depending on the enterprise category:

- Micro enterprises: 250 000 BGN

- Small enterprises: 400 000 BGN

- Medium-sized enterprises, small mid-caps enterprises and large enterprises: 500 000 BGN

Eligible applicants: micro, small, medium-sized and small mid-caps enterprises, and the application of large enterprises is admissible only in partnership with SMEs.

Eligible projects: the implementation of the project should lead to the development of an innovation falling within the scope of one of the five thematic areas of Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization (IS3) 2021-2027, as follows:

1. Thematic area "Informatics and ICT";

2. Thematic area "Mechatronics and microelectronics";

3. Thematic area "Industry for healthy living, bioeconomy and biotechnology";

4. Thematic area "New technologies in the creative and recreational industries";

5. Thematic area "Clean technologies, circular and low-carbon economy".
