Closed call for proposal under procedure BG16RFPR001-1.003 "Implementation of innovations in enterprises"

PROCEDURE OBJECTIVE:

Providing of focused support to Bulgarian enterprises for the implementation of product innovations or business process innovations in the thematic areas of the Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization (IS3) 2021-2027

TOTAL BUDGET FOR THE PROCEDURE:
293 374 500 BGN

AMOUNT AND INTENSITY OF GRANT FUNDING:

Maximum intensity of grant funding under the „regional investment aid” regime, depending on the enterprise category and the place of implementation of the project:

Maximum intensity of grant funding under the “de minimis” regime

Maximum intensity of grant aid under the “innovation aid for SMEs” regime:

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:

1. Merchants according to the Commerce Act or Cooperatives act or an equivalent person within the meaning of the legislation of a member state of the European Economic Area.

2. Micro, small, medium-sized and small mid-caps enterprises

- Only micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can claim support for projects, that lead to the implementation of innovation in the thematic area "Clean technologies, circular and low-carbon economy" of IS3 2021-2027.

3. To be registered not later than 31.12.2020.

4. То have realized net sales revenue for 2022 as follows:

ELIGIBLE PROJECTS:

1. Projects must be aimed at implementing a product innovation (good or service) or innovation in business processes (aimed at the production of goods and provision of services), which one is own development or based on intellectual rights acquired by third parties.

2. Projects should lead to the implementation of a product innovation (good or service) or to the implementation of an innovation in business processes (aimed at the production of goods and the provision of services), falling within the scope of ONE of the thematic areas and sub-areas listed below of IS3 2021-2027*:

1. Thematic area "Informatics and ICT";

2. Thematic area "Mechatronics and microelectronics";

3. Thematic area "Industry for healthy living, bioeconomy and biotechnology";

4. Thematic area "New technologies in the creative and recreational industries";

5. Thematic area "Clean technologies, circular and low-carbon economy".

ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES:

I. Element A “Investments” (mandatory):

1. Implementation of product innovation (good or service) or innovation in business processes through the acquisition of machinery, equipment and equipment, representing fixed tangible assets (FTA).

2. Implementation of product innovation (good or service) or innovation in business processes through the acquisition of specialized software (including development), patents, licenses, "know-how", etc., intangible fixed assets (IFA).

II. Element B "Services" (optional):

1. Protection of industrial property rights on the implemented innovation.

2. Consulting and support services in support of innovations.

ELIGIBLE COSTS:

I. Element A “Investments” (mandatory):

1. Costs for the acquisition of fixed tangible assets (FTA) - machines, installations and equipment necessary for the implementation of the project.

2. Costs for the acquisition of intangible fixed assets (IFA) – specialized software (including development), patents, licenses, know-how, etc., necessary for the implementation of the project.

II. Element B „Services“(optional):

1. Costs for application and registration fees before the relevant competent department in connection with the protection of industrial property rights on the implemented innovation at the national and/or international level - up to 10,000 BGN.

2. Costs for consulting and support services to support innovation.

DEADLINE FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROJECTS:

15 (fifteen) months, counted from the date of entry into force of the administrative contract for the provision of grant aid.
